A household table with stacks of paper, certificates, and old photographs awaiting organisation

Our services

Three ways to bring lasting order to your household's records.

Each service is designed to fit where a household is — from a single afternoon to a year of ongoing support. All are in-home, all are led by you.

How every session begins

Before any sorting or filing, every Threadkin session starts the same way: a brief conversation with the household about what they have, what they know about it, and what they would like the session to accomplish. This prevents the common mistake of organising without first understanding — a system built for the wrong priorities is a system that will not hold.

01

Conversation

Understand the household's context, goals, and any particular concerns about the materials.

02

Triage

Sort all materials into broad groups before attempting any fine categorisation.

03

Organise

Label, file, and arrange into the final system using archival-quality materials.

04

Document

Produce a session summary note left with the household at the end.

Service 01

Family Records Organising Day

A single-day organising session in which the Threadkin team works alongside the household to sort, label, and archive accumulated personal papers — letters, photographs, certificates, and family documents. The work is organisational only; no document is altered, signed, or filed with any institution. The household leads the session and decides what is kept, what is set aside, and what is shared.

  • Archival folder and labeled dividers included
  • Written session summary note provided
  • Suitable for any stage of records assembly
  • No document removed, copied, or filed externally

RM 540

per session · all materials included

Duration

One full day (8–9 hrs)

Service 02

Legacy Document Cataloging Project

A four-session project in which the team helps a household build a written catalog of all documents and heirlooms held in the household. The catalog is organised by category, dated, and stored in an archival folder for the household's personal reference. The work is purely cataloging — no document is modified, drafted, or filed on behalf of the household. Includes a follow-up note three months after the final session.

  • Four structured sessions at the household
  • Archival materials and printed catalog book included
  • Category, date-based catalog for personal reference
  • Written follow-up note at three months

RM 1,420

Duration

Service 03

Annual Records Maintenance Subscription

A yearlong subscription for households that want help keeping their personal records current. Once per quarter the team visits and reviews the records folder built in the Cataloging Project — adding new items, noting items that have moved or been distributed, and refining the organising system. The work remains organisational; the team does not act on the household's behalf with any institution. One household per subscription.

  • Four quarterly visits across twelve months
  • System refinement as the household's documents evolve
  • One dedicated household per subscription
  • Best suited to households that completed the Cataloging Project

RM 2,780

per year · one household

Duration

12 months · 4 visits

Shared across all services

Every Threadkin service operates under the same standards, regardless of scope.

Confidentiality

All team members are bound by confidentiality agreements covering everything encountered during a session. Nothing observed is discussed or referenced outside the household.

Archival materials

All folders, dividers, and labels are acid-free and appropriate for long-term storage. Standard office stationery is never used directly on original documents.

In-home only

All sessions take place at the household. No documents are transported, and no materials are taken off-site at any point during or after the session.

Careful handling

Fragile materials are handled with cotton gloves. Each item is assessed before handling and the household is consulted before any particularly delicate piece is touched.

PDPA-aligned practice

Threadkin's data handling aligns with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Client contact details are used solely for session management and are not shared or retained beyond service delivery.

Consistent team

The same team members are assigned to the same household across all sessions in a project. There are no handoffs between staff mid-project.
